Abby’s Travel Bucket List: Asia
I first visited Asia at the age of nine, during the summer following my third year of grade school. Now, at seventeen, I’ve traveled to several different parts of this vast continent, on three separate occasions. Though I’ve had the privilege to experience life (from a tourist’s perspective, of course) in a number of cities, from Lampang (my grandfather’s home) to Hong Kong (a spur of the moment trip my father and I took with his half-sister in 2012) to Tokyo (my absolute favorite Asian destination), I’ve barely scratched the surface of this unique, vibrant part of the world. Finally, I’ve compiled an Asia bucket list. (Europe & North America can be found here.)
Shall we begin?
China
Beijing
Great Wall of China
Forbidden City
Temple of Heaven
Tiananmen Square
Beihai Park
Xi’an
Terra Cotta Army
Hong Kong
Victoria Peak
Macau
India
New Delhi
Mumbai
Agra
Taj Mahal
Japan
Tokyo
Sensō-ji
Tokyo Imperial Palace
Kyoto

That’s it for today! I’ll be crossing off (and adding) places as the years go by.
Sending ♥s,
Abby
I spent a summer in China and Beijing is very intriguing…. the Great Wall is absolutely incredible! 🙂
Ohh, how amazing, Laura! I want to visit the Great Wall someday so badly… it looks breathtaking in photos 🙂
Oh hey my family and I have been living abroad in Beijing for 9 years now. This past year I went back to the States for college. You’ve got yourself a wonderful list! I went to Japan over winter break, and I went to Singapore and Thailand for swim meets 😀 I hope that your summer is full of travels! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
