Is Disneyland Paris not the most darling place?

I suppose I ought to begin this post by admitting that my expectations for Paris’ Disneyland were not especially high – growing up by Anaheim Disney (and the subsequent frequent visits to it) made me quite wary of theme parks; they have never been my cup of tea (I tend to find rides more often terrifying than enjoyable and over-sweetened, sticky snacks are not my favorite).

From the moment I walked through Disneyland Paris’ gates, however, I was absolutely certain my experience in its lovely setting would be a happy one. The pink! All the pink! The beautiful rose buildings and utterly magical castle! J’adore.

The scale of this adorable place is smaller than that of its California counterpart – which pleased me, indeed. Far less obnoxious crowds, fewer distasteful souvenir shops, and plenty of français & pretty things. Oh, and the ‘It’s a Small World’ ride is just as cute as the original. Which is important, no?

Also worth noting? You can take the RER from Paris straight to the park. ‘Tis highly convenient and oh-too-easy to navigate to and from Marne-la-Vallée (where Disneyland is located… it is technically, just-slightly, outside of Paris. 🙂 ).

I spent a decent half-day here with my mother and twelve-year-old baby brother around Easter-time in late March. We had a wonderful, dreamy day and I am already eager to return with friends or other family members sometime in the very-very near future.

I hope you heart the above photographs, lovelies! Until next time…

xoxo,

Abby

  1. Your dreamy photography style is just perfect for a place like this.

  2. I 100% agree with Sarah’s comment! ^^^ These look so perfect. I too am not a fan of theme parks or rides or anything of that sort, but these photos make me want to visit! Hope you have a lovely weekend! xx Laura

  3. The last time I’ve been to Disneyland was probably when I was in elementary school. When I was in middle school, I think I thought I was too cool for such childish things like Disneyland. But now that I’m in college, I reminisce my childhood days, and I really want to revisit Disneyland and hopefully feel the same magic 🙂 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
