The Pier
sunshine, mon journal, & the loveliest smock dress…
Hi-hi, all! I have just returned from a miniature trip to Hollywood, Marina del Rey, & Santa Monica, and am utterly thrilled to be home editing photos, catching up with old friends, and beginning to prepare for the exciting summer adventures that await me in London, Dublin, Toulouse, and (now!) Rome. I still have a couple more weeks of crashing, turquoise waves, tranquil strolls along our local pier, and shooting all the beach photographs, however, and am soaking up every bright, beautiful moment.
I have been studying French nearly every day since arriving home, and am recording all of my progress, exercises, newfound vocabulary, and grammar rules in the cute little journal that appears in the images above. It has been a little while since I last practiced the language, due to this past week’s itty-bitty ‘stay-cation’ (I live just under two hours from LA, not quite sure whether or not a visit qualifies as a ‘stay-cation’ or ‘vacation’? 😉 ), but intend to continue working this very afternoon.
And! Of course! Let’s chat about this pretty-pretty dress, shall we? It is the most gorgeous floral smock-dress from Mod Dolly, one of my favorite-est shops. I paired it with a darling little necklace and bracelet, removing my shoes prior to strolling along the seashore and eventually stopping to take some notes on French in the vibrant California sunshine.

J’adore! Je vais partager plus de vêtements bientôt. Bonne journée!
