L.A.
from hollywood to rodeo drive…
Los Angeles is all kinds of wonderful. As I lived merely a short distance from here throughout the entirety of my childhood, I had not previously explored this beautiful city and the loveliness it has to offer in depth… isn’t it too true that we rarely play tourist ’round where we are from? So, while on a ‘lil ‘stay-cation’ last week I made a sincere effort to take in all the pretty north of my hometown. Spoiler: there is a whole lot of pretty. Not Paris-level pretty… but charming, just the same. 😉
While touring Hollywood, strolling along the Walk of Fame, and meandering about Rodeo Drive I wore this darling blush-pink dress. It has the cutest trim around its collar, and paired with a matching itty-bitty bow… an utterly perfect outfit. Though I did not manage to capture a close-up of my necklace, it is the sweetest thing so we’ll chat about it anyways, okay? It is a camera! A tiny gold camera on a delicate gold chain. I’m quite sure you’ll see it again, sometime in the future…
Also: unrelated – I saw Midnight in Paris yesterday evening for the very first time and must say, I completely and wholly adored it. New favorite film, me thinks. I am really, really missing Paree at the moment. Two months. Just two months and I will be back.

Awwwww, thanks, Kayle! XOXO! <3
As a nearby traveler, I’ve explored Los Angeles many times in my life: in my childhood, my teenage years, and in my 20s. Isn’t it amazing?
If you have the time, try to visit the Los Feliz neighborhood, Chinatown, Silver Lake, Santa Monica, Sunset Strip, and the Fairfax/Beverly area. Of course there’s so much more!
I have always appreciated L.A. for what it is. Yes, the traffic is really terrible most of the time but if you go with friends and family, it could be a real adventure!
Glad you’re having a great time here. Paris awaits in 2 months, huh? Hang in there!
Ron
Thanks, Ron! I just love LA. Santa Monica is one of my favorite destinations, and Beverly is too pretty. I’l have to make it to Chinatown someday… 🙂
Hahah, and yes, the traffic is AWFUL. But that’s SoCal, for you. 🙂
Such a lovely outfit and photos Abby! Did you take those photos yourself?!
xx
Aww, thanks, girl! Hahah, I directed and edited the shots but my lovely mama actually took them. Usually I shoot self portraits with a tri-pod but there was no way I was hauling one to LA. 😉 XOXO!!!
I don’t think I’ve ever done the touristy stuff in LA before, except for science museums and Disneyland perhaps! // Love the bow 🙂 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
Haha, there’s still so much I haven’t done! I’m hoping to make it to the new Harry Potter World at Universal… one day… <3
You’re right, this is an utterly perfect outfit. That close-up photo of your bow and hair is absolutely beautiful, too!! I have never been to LA but it looks lovely, have a nice time at home!
Also, Midnight in Paris really is a great movie.
