Abby’s Mini Guide to the 5ème Arrondissement

Hi-Hi, Friends! How are you?

I’m rather well, but the heat in Paris at the moment is absolutely unbearable. And to think it’s only May! My apartment is particularly sweltering… I really must purchase an air conditioner but, um, ’tis not a task I am especially excited about – and my bank account certainly isn’t thrilled, either. Anyways!

This afternoon I’m sharing my ‘lil guide to Paris’ fifth arrondissement, aka, the Latin Quater. I haven’t the time to write an article on this neighborhood’s history, but should you be interested: click here

Now, let’s take a look at a few of my very favorite places, shall we?

You absolutely must visit the Musée de Cluny to take a peek at the stunning unicorn tapestries which hang there.
My favorite time of year to visit the Jardin des Plantes ? In early spring, when the white cherry blossom tree is in bloom.
There are often lovely exhibitions at the Centre Culturel Irlandais… I saw one with the work of Hannah Starkey several months ago and was blown away.

xoxo ! Until my next post (and the next guide!),

Abby

  1. I’ve been enjoying the weather on the west coast, and I’m not looking forward to going back to the east coast and being greeted by the scorching heat! Although I am looking forward to the comfort of my apartment 😛 // Another lovely guide! I really hope that I’ll be able to put it to use myself one day 🙂 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

    • Thanks, Audrey! The heat here has only escalated, I brought out my fan but it’s not enough and I’m going crazy. Totally missing that California ocean breeze…..
