Hi-Hi, Friends! How are you?

Today we’ll be chatting about my pretty-pretty apartment. Cool? Cool.

So! I suppose I’ll begin by explaining how this sweet ‘lil studio came to be mine (well, ‘mine’ is a relative term given as it’s rented, but you get me), then jump into my sentiments regarding the apartment, my decorating decisions, (links to my faves below… unsponsored, because duh who would actually want to sponsor me?) my plans for the future, etc. Woo-hoo, look at me making a post outline within the actual post. Nobody wants to read this? Sorry for this entire paragraph.

I stumbled upon this flat online in December 2015, whilst living with my two English roommates in Montmartre. They were the kindest girls and to this day I regret not spending more time with them, but here’s a thing I learned about myself during my first year in Paris: when I arrive home after a day of socializing I am exhausted and cannot be around other people without quickly becoming irritated, fatigued, and just all-around frazzled. Introvert problems. Discovering the perfect apartment online for the following year was a true stroke of luck… at the time I’d intended to room with friends from school (there were no concrete plans in place, of course, I would never abandon a commitment), as the lease for the Montmartre apartment was merely a year long, but I was wary to do so as I’d begun to realize that living with others, particularly with close friends, could potentially be disastrous and take its toll.

So, I sent an inquiry to the apartment agency. I waited, rather impatiently, for a response. And to my great surprise and immense delight – it was available for my projected dates! For those of you not aware, apartment hunting in Paris is a genuine nightmare. You must-must-must (I cannot stress this enough) begin your search early and never-ever-ever expect to land the whole package (that being a perfect apartment). Unless you’re, like, an uber-rich Kardashian, of course, in which case a) you will find a fabulous penthouse in a matter of minutes and b) I hate you.

Where was I? Oh, yes. I booked the apartment immediately. Yay!

Fast forward to August 2016… I moved in.

And I loved it! With my mother’s help the flat was decorated and truly felt like my own within about a week and a half. Aren’t the yellow walls the cutest?

mon joli appartement

Salut les amis ! J’espère que vous allez bien. 🙂

Aujourd’hui on va parler de mon petit appartement à Paris, mon endroit préféré au monde.

D’abord, j’aimerais écrire un peu sur comment je l’ai trouvé il y a presque deux ans (!).  Après on parlera de comment je me sens dans cet appartement et enfin je vous donnerai tous les liens pour les belles choses que vous venez de voir dans les photos ci-dessus. Vous êtes prêt ? On y va !

J’ai découvert cet appart en ligne en Décembre 2015 pendant que j’habitais encore dans le 18ème arrondissement. À l’époque j’ai partagé un appartement avec deux très gentilles filles d’Angleterre et c’était vraiment chouette. J’aurais dû parler plus avec elles pendant que nous habitions ensemble et il faut dire que je regrette ne pas avoir être plus ouverte mais pendant cette année je me suis rendue compte que quand je rentre chez moi après une journée très chargée à l’école j’aime bien être toute seule plutôt que parmi d’autres personnes. C’est juste que je suis très introvertie et malheureusement ce n’est pas quelque chose je peux changer. Du coup quand j’ai trouvé cet appart j’était trop contente… j’avais hâte d’avoir mon propre studio et de le décorer, bien sûr !

Je ne m’attendais pas que l’appartement serait disponible pour les dates que j’ai voulu mais évidement (et heureusement !) c’étais le cas. C’est vachement difficile à trouver un appart à Paris, mais c’est pour ça que j’ai commencé mes recherches si tôt. Et c’était vaut l’effort, comme vous voyez !

Et j’y ai déménagé en Août 2016, il y a presque un an déjà. Je l’adore, vraiment. Cet appart est juste parfait et j’y serai jusqu’au juin prochain. Les murs jaunes sont trop mignons, non ?

En tout cas j’adore mon appartement, c’est vraiment mon endroit préféré à Paris, oui, mais aussi au monde.

C’est tout pour maintenant… je pense créer un poste de plus sur chez moi avant j’y quitte en 2018. On verra. 🙂
