we don’t know what the fuck we’re doing but that’s okay: the book
So, I recently realized (ooh, alliteration!) that I’d never actually, like, officially posted about my ‘wtf book’ here. So guess what?! Today is the day, my friends.
So basic-a-lly: dis is a 110-page, 18×18 cm book. I took zee pictures. Kayoon did zee design (you should check out her work, it’s so fetch).
And looksies, I wrote a statement:
‘we don’t know what the fuck we’re doing but that’s okay’ is a personal photographic study exploring the broad concept of contemporary youth culture through a smaller group of select twenty-something individuals. The series of analog images exposes the intimate, ordinary moments of everyday student life which typically – and very often intentionally- remain undocumented. As a subjective body of work, these photographs reflect the artist’s current reality and present lifestyles observed and experienced by herself. Photographs shot between October 2017 and May 2018.
So much love went into the creation of this book, from the moment I snapped the very first photo to the day Kayoon and I held the final product in our hands. I’m real proud of this body of work.
For those of you interested in purchasing a copy (lolll as if anyone is), you totally can! Each of these hardcover babies costs 95 USD or 80 euros, depending on where you are in the world (that includes shipping, btw). Write me here to order.
