I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22…
So… if you know me, it is very (very, very, very) safe to assume that you also know I’m a HUGE Taylor Swift fan. Like… huuuuuge, huge. According to Apple Music’s 2019 replay, I listened to a whopping 620 hours of Taylor Swift this year. I mean, just compare that to my second most listened to artist (who I also absolutely adore but, um, obviously not quite as much), Lana Del Rey, whose mere 137 hours of listening-time pale in comparison. I am a serious Swiftie, you guys. No shame. If anything, I’m proud AF to stan Billboard’s woman of the decade.
As you can therefore imagine, being the T-Swizzle super-fan that I am, properly celebrating my 22nd birthday was of utmost importance to me. Because Taylor only devoted and ENTIRE SONG to this year of life duhhhh. I may or may not have purchased my outfit MONTHS ahead of time (notice my shirt and the red lip? also… allll the heart-shaped sunglasses? yeah.) and spent way more than I’d like to admit on an entirely red (Because RED) birthday cake in the shape of… well, just scroll up and take a glance at the pictures, won’t you?
Given that my birthday fell on a Monday this year, my friends and I celebrated the Saturday beforehand. I’d originally booked a closed off space in a cute ‘lil bar near my apartment for the event, but a week or so prior to the party the manager cancelled my reservation for some reason or another; apparently the room was no longer available… I dunno. Thankfully, Ash swooped in and saved the day by offering to host our shenanigans at his place, which ended up being even-maybe-better.
Ash, Brigette and Ferdinand, Berfu, Olivia, Freddie and Claudia, Camille, a new friend from the Sorbonne, Jake, and my dad were all present and made the evening fun and special and unforgettable and gosh, I love these humans so very much and am so effing grateful to have each and every one of them in my life.
Welp, that’s pretty much all I have to say about that. You can catch some polaroids from the night over here.
Happy 22nd Birthday!
Omg… I loved the first half of your post. It was fun to go through based on the look of the photos. It really felt like I was going through the entire night with you and your friends. It made me miss my friends and our adventures together.
Hope your 22nd year is the best yet!

Thank you so much, Des! I hope so, too. xo
Happy belated birthday!!! You guys are too cute-I love the T Swift theme
Aww, thanks, Kayle! xoxo
I totally missed that the red lipstick was for RED until I saw this! The heart-shaped glasses are an amazing touch! Lame of the bar manager, but glad it worked out for the better!
Yes, it ended up being perfect!
