– Flowers are such enchanting, lovely little things. While roaming the aisles of a local supermarket, I happened upon floral bouquets and simply could not resist purchasing the blossoms featured above – roses, I do believe. How delicate, how sweet they are. Photographing them was absolutely necessary, of course… How could I possibly refrain from snapping a few shots?

– My mother and I walked along the most charming trail several days ago… a “nature walk”, of sorts.  Our initial intention was to stroll along the beach, but we decided to exchange our typical outing for something — different. I captured a bit of plant life along the way {insects were the sole living creatures we saw, unfortunately… though the one butterfly we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of was downright stunning}.

– I have experienced a number of rather discouraging photography failures, as of late, concerning styling in particular. Yes, I am young, but I often disregard this reality and expect a great deal of myself. You see, I am disappointed when my  basic, untrained ability falls short of my impossible expectations. Through practice – significant practice – I hope to improve. Each shoot, successful or not, is such genuine fun, that, in spite of disaster, I know I will, undoubtably, enjoy myself. And isn’t that the primary goal, truly? I believe… it is.

– Alice Gao’s extraordinary portfolio.

Minimalist Baker… a favorite blog of mine, certainly deserving of a mention. After all… this grilled almond butter, dark chocolate, & pomegranate sandwich? Incredible.

– These gorgeous oolong doughnuts… wow.

– I adore this pot de creme.

– Oh, such a pretty cake!

Thanks for reading.

xoxo!
